The London in Bloom results are in ... and we're delighted to tell you: Kennington Park has won Gold this year , for the park, and Silver Gilt for the Flower Garden. Big thanks to all you erstwhile volunteer gardeners for all your hard work! And to the Lambeth Parks team for keeping everything ship-shape.

Marietta and Catherine will be in the Flower Garden from noon until 4pm, this Sunday 09 November , with tools and gardening gloves to share. Come for just 15 minutes – or the whole 4 hours. All are welcome, no experience needed. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The 'Save Kenny' campaign was featured on ITV News The campaign to save Kennington Park’s legendary 1970s skatebowl – known as Kenny – has now featured on ITV news this week. Kennington Park’s legendary 1970s skatebowl – known as Kenny – is under threat. After years of planning and hard work, Lambeth Council is now considering pulling the funding that was allocated to restore it. This isn’t just about skateboarding. The project would bring a much-loved community space back to life – restoring the historic bowl, adding safe spectator areas and ramped access, and opening up the overgrown surroundings so the bowl is part of the park again.
