What a team! Lots of energetic volunteers turned out for our session in March – the sun shone, the birds sang. And the beady-eyed spotted lots of frogspawn in the pond – exciting!
We dug up metres of acanthus root – lush and green in moderation, but a real thug when it marches forth into places where it shouldn't be!
And did plenty of cutting back – taking out the dry branches and grasses that provided interest and shelter for invertebrates and birds over the winter months,
Making space for spring growth – well done, team!
Hope you can join us for this month's session – coming up next Sunday, April 13th.
Marietta and Catherine will be in the Flower Garden from 12 noon until 4pm, as usual.
They'll have tools and gloves to share, and Catherine will tell you what needs to be done this month. As ever, you can stay just 15 minutes – or the whole four hours.
See you in the park!
